No Disrespect Intended
No disrespect intended, but this is just plain weird -- even eerie!
In a moment of boredom I did a search for gravestones that might bear my name. The very first link Google provided is the gravestone for Richard Vincent and his wife, Elizabeth. This is not too surprising -- I'm sure that there are numerous people named Richard Vincent. But notice the date that this person was born -- May 1. That is my birthday as well! Also, my wife's name is Elizabeth! AAAaaahhh!

Moments later... after visiting the gravestone site again and again in a state of morbid fascination, crazed disbelief, and general freakish dysphoria (yes, that is a word -- click here if you don't believe me)...
Whoops! After looking more closely at the page, I realized that Richard Vincent was born on May 4. At first glance, the tombstone appears to read May 1.
I also noticed that Richard died on March 25. Could this be an omen? From now on every March 25 (and every March 28 -- add 3 days, let the reader understand) I will be locking myself up in a safe place to prevent the possibility of a strange sychronicity. ;)
This is the kind of stuff that happens when I'm away from my family for two weeks at seminary and my brain is fried from 8 hours of class followed by evenings full of study. Let this be a warning to all of you considering full-time ministry!
PS: Did you notice how progeny-prolific Richard and Elizabeth were? And I thought three kids were a handful.
